DXUT and Direct2D with multithreading

Could someone answer my quetion, please?
I currently develop an application in the DXUT framework.
Thank you for this layer.
I have problem, I use one ID2D1Device and its context.
The Direct2D is executed in a different thread, than Direct3D.
I have read, that in such reason is important the usage of Direct2D's critical section (ID2D1Multithread).
I do not have any idea, how to do it in DXUT.
I do not want to alter the framework, but for example method
hr = pSwapChain->Present( 0, dwFlags );
is called in the framework, not my code. Is there any solution, please?
